Swedish melodic metal outfit NOCTURNAL RITES have posted the brand new song 'Never Again' at their MySpace page. Check it out at this location.

Furthermore, the band present the new video clip for 'Never Again' at YouTube. The clip was directed by the band’s drummer Owe Lingvall, who started his own video production company Village Road Films last year and already created clips for WOLF, CARNAL FORGE and MORGANA LEFAY. NOCTURNAL RITES Bassist Checks In

NOCTURNAL RITES bassist Nils Eriksson has issued the following update:

"Hey, we had a great time onboard the Gates Of Metal boat this weekend. Thanks to everyone involved.

Now we'll get working on a set list for the summer and fall shows (more to be announced soon). This time we'll try and work in some old 'new' songs that we haven't played so far. We did one this weekend, 'Genetic Distortion Sequence' (Afterlife, 2001), and it went over really well indeed. Nice to see all you freaks going nuts over 'Never Again', too.

New merch and store will be up soon too. So, stay tuned!"

NOCTURNAL RITES - "Release Party... A Bit Too Late?!?"

Swedish melodic power metal outfit NOCTURNAL RITES have issued the following update:

"We will do a spontaneous show/release party at Scahrinska Villan in Umeå (Sweden) next weekend, on June 30th. This is not something we planned - we just thought about it the other day...and we really wanted to do something in contrast of our show last year at the Idunteatern (from which you can see some clips on the bonus DVD). So, come join us for some fun, a few beers, laughs and a really long and sweaty set! And remember that last time we had a release party was for Afterlife in 2000. Another thing worth celebrating is that The 8th Sin already out-sold Grand Illusion in Europe a week after release! Tickets are sold during next week at either Burmans Musik in Umeå or at the door of the venue. Hope to see you there for a night of pure fun!"

Swedish metal outfit NOCTURNAL RITES have entered the Japanese album charts with their latest album The 8th Sin. Bassist Nils Eriksson comments on this phenomenal success:

"Wow is simply all I can come up with at the moment - charting on position #68 domestically in Japan and #28 among international acts is simply mind-blowing! Now we really look forward even more to returning to Japan once again - this time to play the Loud Park Festival in October. We also can't wait to start our busy fall headlining schedule in Sweden and Europe. I am quite confident that 2007 and 2008 will mark the biggest years in the history of the band. The 8th Sin already out-sold Grand Illusion...and it hasn't even been out a month in some territories!
