According to the flyer that came with the limited-edition version of BLACK SABBATH's Live At Hammersmith Odeon album (which is currently being shipped by Rhino - release date is May 1), the label has set an August 28th release date for the Heaven And Hell Live From Radio City Music Hall DVD and double-CD.

The band - BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler, singer Ronnie James Dio, and drummer Vinny Appice - performed live on March 30, 2007 at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The following update has been posted at HEAVEN AND HELL vocalist Ronnie James Dio's official website, confirming initial reports that an August 28th release date for the Heaven And Hell Live From Radio City Music Hall DVD and double-CD had been set:

"Heaven and Hell’s US run kicked off April 22 in Phoenix, AZ at the Dodge Theatre, and shortly after, the guys brought the show onto Los Angeles, playing the Forum with a comfortably full house. The sound board was full of metal icons, with James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo from METALLICA, the FOO FIGHTERS, Izzy Stradlin from GUNS N’ ROSES, Mike Inez from ALICE IN CHAINS, REO SPEEDWAGON, Rob Zombie and John 5, Jeff Pilson from FOREIGNER, Chuck Garric from Alice Cooper, Doug Aldrich from WHITESNAKE, and of course Craig Goldy, Simon Wright and Rudy Sarzo from DIO all in attendance. The party continued on in Ronnie's dressing room after the show…in true decadent rock fashion!

The release date for the live DVD recorded in New York City is 28th August 2007 worldwide, so get ready for live performance from the dark side from Ronnie, Tony, Geezer and Vinny!"

Fans lucky enough to score tickets to HEAVEN AND HELL's Radio City Music Hall performance on March 30 - the concert sold out in a matter of minutes - were fortunate witnesses to the glorious return of Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice. Onstage in the U.S. for the first time in 15 years, the group let loose an onslaught of iconic metal spotlighting Dio's memorable tenure with BLACK SABBATH. Rhino relives every bone-crushing riff and thunderous howl from the evening with a trio of releases available August 28. Heaven And Hell Live From Radio City Music Hallwill be available at regular retail US outlets both as a two-disc CD set and as a DVD for a suggested list price of $19.98 and $19.99 respectively.

Available exclusively from www.rhino.com, the concert will also be released as a deluxe three-disc set (2CD/DVD) for a suggested list price of $49.98. The special set features tour memorabilia including a tour program, backstage laminate, glossy photos of the band and other tour items.

Heaven And Hell Live From Radio City Music Hall captures the band bashing its way through some of the Dio era's best including 'Mob Rules', 'Die Young', 'Neon Knights', 'Children Of The Sea' and an epic 15-minute-plus version of 'Heaven And Hell'. The quartet also performed a pair of new songs - the hit single 'The Devil Cried' and 'Shadow Of The Wind'. Both songs debuted earlier this year on Black Sabbath: The Dio Years, the first comprehensive introduction to the Dio era's legacy. The DVD will include the entire show shot in breathtaking HD as well as a tour documentary and other bonus footage.

Following this spring's successful U.S. tour, Heaven And Hell is scheduled to spend the summer playing concerts and festivals around the world. In early September, the group will return to the U.S. for another round of shows. Look for dates and a full lineup to be announced soon.

Together for a short but memorable time - a trio of studio albums, a classic live album and a couple of tours - the second coming of Black Sabbath began in 1979 when founding members Iommi and Butler were joined by Dio. The former singer of ELF (and later RAINBOW and DIO) added his fiery, demonic howl to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group's unmistakable sound. The Dio-led lineup disbanded in 1983 and reunited in 1992 to record Dehumanizer and tour before again going on hiatus.

VH1 Classic To Feature Material From HEAVEN AND HELL's Live From Radio City Music Hall DVD Tonight

VH1 Classic in the US is going to be showing footage from HEAVEN AND HELL's forthcoming new Live From Radio City Music Hall DVD (release date August 28) DVD release. Their series Classic In Concert will premiere footage from the RCMH DVD tonight (August 24th) at 9PM EST tonight. It will run again several other times over the weekend, so check your local listings for repeat times, or check their website's TV schedule here.

"I'm finally able to bring you pre-order information on the Radio City Music Hall Deluxe Edition. The pre-order starts at 9AM Pacific time on August 28th (this morning). The link you will need is here.

From there, you can click on the Deluxe Edition Link to get to the ordering page for the product. Please see the technical note at the bottom of this story before clicking, however.

This is a limited run of 5,000 copies (similar to the Live at Hammersmith release earlier this year), so if you're interested, you should get in now with your order.

www.hino.com exclusive limited edition box also includes: glossy band photos, a Heaven And Hell tour program, ticket replica, laminated pass and collector's postcards. It all comes housed in a sleek black display box emblazoned with official Heaven And Hell artwork.
