DARK MOOR To Begin Recording New Album In September; NEMESEA's Manda Ophuis To Guest

Spanish metallers DARK MOOR have posted the following update at their website:

"Dark Moor will begin to record their new album in September, 2006 until the first of October in the New Sin Studios (Venice, Italy) with the producer Luigi Stefanini.

But before they will record in Madrid the choirs in the middle of August. For this, Dark Moore will have a professional choir composed of two tenors,
two sopranos, two altos and two bassos.

Also, for this new album Dark Moor will have a special guest, Dutch singer Manda Ophuis of the band NEMESEA."

DARK MOOR Finish Recordings For New Album

Spain's DARK MOOR have issued the following update from singer Alfred Romero:

"Hi fellas!!

I'm writing again, just to let you know we've finished the recordings for the new album, and our dearest producer Luigi Stefanini and my bandmate Enrik are currently working on the mixing and mastering of it!!!

I had quite a good recording process, my throat went very well and finished very quickly!! I was really surprised of how fast I was going, so I had time enough to repeat parts that were OK at first time but wanted to improve even more!!

I think I have reached with this record an important point in my career and in my way of singing, my voice and style sound really personal.

So, we will start soon with the post-production work and promotion, I can't tell you any more for the moment, but will keep you updated, OK?

DARK MOOR Sign With Scarlet Records; New Album Tracklisting Revealed

Scarlet Records have announced that Spain's DARK MOOR have inked a deal with the label.

With its previous five albums the band established itself as one of today's leading classic/power metal acts, combining like no others the European metal tradition with a high-class symphonic approach, made possible by each members' astonishing technical skills. Tarot will be the title of the next album, an intriguing concept about the major arcanes of the tarot, going deep in the meaning of each arcane and the esoteric halo that surrounds it. The band put a major attention in the symbolism of each card (and the tarot that
represents), trying to find a link with real life which, as the band likes to say, is often a reflection of life itself. Production duties were once again handled by renowed producer Luigi Stefanini (RHAPSODY, LABIRYNTH, VISION DIVINE).

The impressive artwork was made by Derek Gores (EDGUY, KAMELOT).

The album will be out in late February/early March but the complete tracklist is already available:

DARK MOOR To Shoot New Video In Late December

Spanish power metallers DARK MOOR check in with the following update:

"At the end of December, Dark Moor together with the producer Dividi2 will record a new video clip for the first single off the new album, Tarot. The video will be available between January and February, 2007."

Spanish metallers DARK MOOR have issued the following brief update:

"Dark Moor recently opened a YouTube channel, here you will find all DM videos. Dark Moor live in Madrid videos (March 2007) has been posted online here."

Dark Moor recently announced that the new album, Tarot will be released, in North America through EMI/Caroline on May 22nd.

DARK MOOR - Promoter Cancels Dates In Mexico

Spanish metallers DARK MOOR and their management in South America have received a message from Sonora Metal Promotions, the promotion firm administering the band's scheduled dates in Mexico, confirming they have canceled the dates.

The message reads:

"A quien corresponda:

Por medio del presente correo, queremos notificar y a la ves una sincera disculpa, por la cancelación de la gira de presentaciones del Grupo Dark Moor por México, lo anterior motivado por cuestiones de logística que complican la realización de la misma en las fechas comprendidas entre el 19 y el 22 julio del 2007, quedando dichas fechas para reprogramarse en el mes de Octubre del presente año.

Reiteramos nuestras más sinceras disculpas por los problemas que esta reprogramación haya generado."

Says Dark Moor, "The band is really disappointed and sad because of this new that sadly came without warning just one week before starting the tour.

We want to clarify that neither the band nor their management have nothing to do with the cancellation of the dates in Mexico, as already said, this came up without warning and there were no demands nor logistic problem from Dark Moor, as some sources have said in certain websites.

In fact, this last-minute cancellation means a big problem for the band, and make more complicated to play in some nearby countries. Our management is trying to fix this up with a big work and economic effort from their side and from ours.

We would also like to clarify that the band can not be there in october, as this promoter already announced without consulting because of other previous engagements that make it completely impossible for us.

We would like to apologize before our fans and supporters as we know they really wanted to see us live in Mexico, and let them know that Dark Moor will make its best for being there as soon as possible so you can enjoy our shows.
