Janne Wirman (Children of Bodom) sera bien présent sur le prochain album solo de Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius). Il enregistrera ses parties de synthé à partir de la semaine prochaine.

KOTIPELTO - Pictures From Recording Session Online


As previously reported, STRATOVARIUS frontman Timo Kotipelto started recording his third KOTIPELTO album this month, as planned. He and his band are currently holed up at Sonic Pump Studios and the drum tracks are complete. CHILDREN OF BODOM keyboardist Janne Warman is due to reprise his role as Kotipelto's in-studio keyboardist, having played on the previous two albums. He will record his parts within the next couple weeks.

Kotipelto is planning on an early 2007 release.

STRATOVARIUS Guitarist Checks In


STRATOVARIUS guitarist Timo Tolkki has issued the following update:

"After 40,000 kilometers of traveling in three weeks I am finally home. Feeling totally spaced out from jet-lag, waking up 4 am, sleeping in sections and feeling hazy. This is a familiar feeling to me from previous overseas tours, but it always comes as a surprise how the human system reacts to different time zones. Very successful 3 weeks, everywhere lots of happy people and everybody was in great spirits despite of the fact that the tour was very hard. Now I just try too adjust to a normal life and in a couple of weeks I go to Germany to record some drums with Darth Michael (drummer Jörg Michael) for the R R demos (the band's new album - the title is "two separate words that both start with 'R'"). I will also do one production later this year which takes me to Madrid Spain. Keep the flame alive."

STRATOVARIUS' TIMO KOTIPELTO has issued the following studio update:

"Hello,

Most of the songs are mixed by now. Mikko (Karmila) is about to mix the last song in a couple of weeks and then the music is done. I don't have the title or the artwork yet.

We also shot a music video for one of the songs. The song will be on a Finnish movie, Vares 2, which will have it's premiere January 12th 2007. The song is a main theme and can be heard when the credits are scrolling at the end of the movie.

The music video will included clips from the movie. Some of the actors who are playing the characters on these clips are my personal friends and are very well known in Finland.

STRATOVARIUS frontman TIMO KOTIPELTO has set Serenity as the title of his third solo album, tentatively due out in early 2007 via his own label, High And Loud Records. The CD was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki, Finland and was mixed by Mikko Karmila. As previously reported, a video for the album's first single, 'Sleep Well', has been posted online
here.

Recently commenting on the song, Timo stated, "The song will be in a Finnish movie, Vares 2, which will have it's premiere January 12th 2007. The song is a main theme and can be heard when the credits are scrolling at the end of the movie. The music video includes clips from the movie. STRATOVARIUS vocalist Timo Kotipelto has issued the following update regarding the new KOTIPELTO video for the song 'Sleep Well':
