Extreme Power Open Air - Canceled Due To Political Election?

GRAVE DIGGER, KREATOR and other acts scheduled to take part in the Ukrainian Extreme Power Open Air festival have received the following message from the organizers: "I’m really sorry, but I must inform you that Extreme Power Open Air on September 15 (in Kiev) is canceled. We are rescheduling it to spring 2008. On September 30th, in the Ukraine there will be pre-term elections. The President of Ukraine decided about this 2 and a half months ago - he thinks that it help Ukraine come out from political crisis. When Ukraine is doing elections, everything is forced to stop. For us to make the festival we need to numerous documents (bureaucracy) from city administration for outdoors venue, from ministry of culture, from central police department for security at the festival...etc. etc. etc. We waited for all this papers more than two months, and we still don’t have it. Usually it takes a maximum 10 days. They are busy with their elections. I’m really sorry. I’m still looking forward to seeing your bands at our festival in the spring of 2008."
