ROBERT PLANT Donates Art To Paint4Poverty







ROBERT PLANT has donated artwork for the Paint4Poverty charity. Online bidding will end on October 11 at 5pm and the drawings and paintings will be auctioned at Bath's Guildhall on October 13. The money raised will support various relief projects in Romania, Tanzania, India and Nepal. His Paint4Poverty bio reads as follows:

"Robert Plant is a rock singer, most famous for his membership of the rock band LED ZEPPELIN, but also for his successful solo career. He is known for his powerful style, often mysterious lyrics, and wide vocal range. As the lead singer of Led Zeppelin he is often defined as the quintessential rock front man combining rare musical adeptness and knowledge with a large measure of braggadocio and stage bravado. As a solo artist following the Led Zeppelin era, he is often credited for his wide range of musical taste and his ability to perform an eclectic range of songs in a refined and critically acclaimed manner. ROBERT PLANT - "It Wouldn’t Be Such A Bad Idea To Play Together From Time To Time"

According to Gigwise.com, Robert Plant has sparked fresh rumours about the possibility of further LED ZEPPELIN shows – before quickly denying them.

Despite previously saying that tonight’s (December 10th) show at the O2 Arena would be a ‘one-off’, Plant told the Sunday Times that “it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to play together from time to time.”

He was quick to explain what he said later in the same interview, however, claiming that it was “somebody else inside me was saying that.

“Not the bloke from Wolverhampton,” he added. “The bloke from the land of the ice and snow, the bloke with his shirt unbuttoned down to his waist – and he can shut up. We’re not having any more of that. It was great, but I’ve got to go down the highway now.”

Rumors have continued to escalate about the prospect of further shows after over 1 million people registered for tickets for tonight’s concert.

Historic Music Venue That Hosted Performance From ROBERT PLANT Will Close

An historic entertainment hall in the Black Country is to close after a council said it could not afford to keep it open "just for weekends".

Sandwell Council decided to shut Regis Hall in Old Hill despite a petition signed by more than 300 people.

The hall has hosted concerts by EDWIN STARR and LED ZEPPELIN frontman ROBERT PLANT.

"The live music thing is going down the drain," promoter Kenny Lee, who has organised many events there, said.
