Et s'il en reste pour penser que les jeunes, notamment les ziquos, ne s'intéressent pas aux solos de grattes etc etc, voici la plus belle démo, la relève est la, un nouveau souffle, ils nous viennent de Miami, en Floride-basé, Light d'Above sera le titre de leur premier album , début 2008 par l'intermédiaire d'Interscope Records. Le CD a été enregistré avec le producteur Johnny K (DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD, SOIL) et inclura le morceau « Shockwave », en écoute ici :

BLACK TIDE a éclaté sur la scène après avoir durement ouvert pendant un mois-sur la scène principale d'Ozzfest. Selon une sortie de presse, le groupe cumule le charisme, le caractère et l'attitude rock des grands qui les ont précédé. L'Amérique n'a pas pas connu de tel phénomène depuis le killed 'em all de METALLICA fin 83, carrément !

new song from Miami, Florida-based hard rock band BLACK TIDE (formerly RADIO) entitled "Shout" is available for streaming at this location. The track appears on the recently released in-game soundtrack for "NFL Tour", which was released on November 28 via EA Trax, the musical branch of videogame powerhouse EA.

BLACK TIDE will release its debut album, "Light from Above", on February 26, 2008 via Interscope Records. The CD was recorded with producer Johnny K, who has previously worked with DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD and SOIL, among others.

BLACK TIDE recently released its first EP, entitled "Shockwave". Available for purchase at Hot Topic, the two-song disc includes the propulsive title track, "Shockwave", as well as the JUDAS PRIEST-like "Warriors of Time", exclusive video footage, sticker and guitar pick. The two songs are also available digitally through iTunes.

BLACK TIDE - Light From Above Artwork Revealed




Interscope Records’ metal assassins, BLACK TIDE have unveiled the cover art for their debut album, Light From Above. The Ryan Gillis created artwork is pictured at left.

Light From Above will be in stores February 26th.

As previously reported, an excerpt from a press release reads as follows: "Black Tide’s music draws from the best hard rock and thrash from the '80s, while giving it a 21st century kick up the ass. 'Shockwave', the band’s calling card and the album’s opening track, is an utter classic - all bloody-knuckled thrash riffs, squealing guitars, rampaging drums, in-your-face vocals and an instantly memorable chorus.

The rest of Light From Above is up to the same impressive standard; anthemic, take-no-prisoners tracks like 'Shout', 'Black Abyss', 'Let Me', 'Live Fast Die Young', the MAIDEN-esque 'Warriors Of Time' and their spot-on cover of METALLICA’s 'Hit The Lights' will punch any metal fan squarely in their pleasure centers."

Bassist Zachary "Zakk" Sandler of Miami metallers BLACK TIDE has issued the following update:

"I wanna send a huge 'thank you' to everybody that showed up for the video shoot in L.A.; it was great having you guys there and you did an amazing job. I hope you guys all had a fun time with us and enjoyed the limited time we spent with each other.

"As you can tell, we have re-done our MySpace page because we felt that it was time for a change and we wanted to update our line-up as many of you have requested. To give you a little bit of insight as to what happened, and so you will all stop asking, Alex [Nuñez, guitar] had different ideas as to the direction that we are going and wasn't happy with the style. We made a MUTUAL decision and felt that it would be best if we changed members now instead of years later and avoided stupid amounts of drama. He is still a close friend and we wish him all the luck in the world toward future endeavors.

"Now that we got that out of the way...

"We have our very close friend Austin Diaz playing guitar for us; he is a great new addition to our group and a nice breath of fresh air to the dynamic that is BLACK TIDE. We hope you all love and welcome him as much as we do, and please don't make too many Corbin Bleu jokes about him. I'm just kidding. He looks just like that Disney Channel freak!

"We recently got back from a short trip to Tokyo, Japan and it was such an amazing experience and we can't wait to get back there already. The city was beautiful and the people there were great and the culture is amazing. I don't even know the words to describe how much fun we had and how much we truly love it there.

"We have a few more days off before we head over to Europe with BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, LACUNA COIL, and BLEEDING THROUGH, it's going to be so much fun and we really hope you guys come out to the shows we are playing with BLEEDING THROUGH on a few off days too. We are heading into a new year soon and we have tons of surprises in store for you and we can't wait to see you all again in the new year. In the mean time check out our new 'Warriors Of Time' animated feature; we love it and there are more to come over the next couple of weeks."
