LAUREN HARRIS To Headline The Hertford Marquee Tonight
IRON MAIDEN news site Maiden Norway reports that the Hertford Marquee tonight (November 8th) is headlined by LAUREN HARRIS, daughter of Iron Maiden bassist/founder Steve Harris, and her band with their blend of rock, powerpop and metal.
The 23-year-old London-based singer was discovered in a pub by record producer Russ Ballard (a founder member of '70s Herts rockers ARGENT, incidentally), unaware of who she was.
She's made her way without exploiting her dad's legendary name, although she did support Iron Maiden on their European tour and in Dubai and India in May.
Supporting acts tonight are Northampton post punk trio SYMBO, who offer "euphoric, epic and energetic" music as they "cross alt rock with post punk in their high energy live shows."
Symbo's influences include THE MANIC STREET PREACHERS, R.E.M. and MOTÖRHEAD.
Also on the bill are Hertfordshire powerpopsters DAVID DOLL & THE AUTOMAT and OLD SCHOOL REASONS.
The event costs £6; doors open at 7:30 PM.
