LAUREN HARRIS - daughter of IRON MAIDEN founder Steve Harris - has issued the following update:

"The single 'Your Turn' will be released via download one second past midnight on January 1st across the world. The download also includes a free DVD of 'Your Turn', live in Dubai.

If your up early tomorrow morning (January 1st) I'll be on Radio 5 live between 10 AM and 12 (noon). We will be doing a live accoustic version of 'Your Turn'.

IRON MAIDEN Star's Daughter Aims For Record Books With New Year Single

Lauren Harris, the daughter of IRON MAIDEN star Steve Harris, has launched a bid for the record books with a plan to release her debut single at one second into the New Year across the different time zones of the world.

Organisers of the "rock around the clock" launch said that if all went according to plan, it would be a world first.
The single, 'Your Turn', was lined up for digital release in places including Auckland, New Caledonia, Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, Jakarta, Dhaka, Karachi, Baku, Moscow, Paris, London, Santiago, Indiana, Mexico City, Arizona, California, Alaska, Hawaii and Samoa.

The marketing team supporting Miss Harris, Quite Great Communications, believes it is the first time such a venture has been organised on this scale and a first for worldwide distributor The Orchard which was co-ordinating all the digital downloads.

Joe Arditti, chief marketing consultant, said of the release: "The recent global success of American female rock/pop artists such as Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Pink has opened up the rock genre to a far more mainstream market. More importantly, there is a gap in the British market for our very own Rock Goddess.

"What better way to bring in 2009, than with a new star born at midnight!"

Harris has been confirmed to support Iron Maiden on their 2009 world tour. Her new album, which features performances by her father, is entitled Calm before the Storm and is billed as "an eclectic mix of high-energy pop-rock tracks".
