OZZY OSBOURNE Working On Two New Studio Albums


According to OzzyHead.com, OZZY OSBOURNE is currently working on two brand new studio albums. The first album is set for release in February 2007. Most of the music was recorded before Ozzfest in May with Mike Bordin (drums), Blasko (bass) and Zakk Wylde (guitar). Ozzy is currently working on recording the vocals. Zakk Wylde recently announced that he has to cancel three upcoming tour dates (Oct. 14 - House Of Blues, Myrtle Beach, SC; Oct. 16 - The Masquerade, Atlanta, GA; Oct. 18 - Rams Head Live, Baltimore, MD) with his band the BLACK LABEL SOCIETY to finish up obligations in the studio in connection with the new album.

The second album will be the soundtrack to Ozzy's musical about controversial Russian politician Grigory Rasputin. The album will be released initially, and then the play will debut on Broadway or as a touring show according to Osbourne. There is no current release date set.

In a recent interview, Ozzy said "We wrote a song called 'Rasputin' (for the 1995 Ozzmosis album), but then it never got used, you know, and then every now and again I'd try to find this tape of songs. We wrote a bunch of songs, and I put this tape on and thought, 'You know what? That would be a great musical.' It kind of grew on its own. It’s the traditional Fiddler on the Roof type of music, plus the kind of Beatley kind of influence. There’s this wonderful song that goes, 'How dark it is before the dawn, the day begins, a child is born'. It’s beautiful. I’m really happy about it. I hope the rest of the world is. I spent 10 years of my fucking life in this thing."

OZZY OSBOURNE To Go For "Ride Along" With Dog The Bounty Hunter?

Hopefully Duane 'Dog' Chapman can plow through his legal troubles in short order as the next season waits for A&E's "Dog the Bounty Hunter."

And that season may hold a unique and rather intriguing combination as Dog wants to employ rocker and reality star OZZY OSBOURNE for a "ride along."

Can anyone else hear Ozzy screaming Sharon!

If anybody could get criminals to listen, it would be Ozzy Osbourne, claims Duane "Dog" Chapman. With the fourth season of his reality show, "Dog the Bounty Hunter," already in production, Dog says he'd like to see the famous musician accompany him on his next bounty hunt.

"We're doing a celebrity ride along very soon. He wrote our theme song so he's one of the people we're thinking about," says Dog about Osbourne. However, no final decisions have been made.

"I'd love to have Ozzy and Sharon there, but we've got several names. I want to take a girl, too." As for why he wants to have a celebrity with him? "I'm not doing it for the ratings, believe me," he claims. "I want to have a guy with me when I arrest somebody so I can tell them, "Listen, the day that you meet Ozzy Osbourne, you can change your life and quit doing that stuff.' If they meet someone famous like that, then maybe that will help them out."

Hopefully Chapman's legal woes can be fixed quickly with a fine and an apology as moves like this show that 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' certainly knows how to keep the momentum going for his highly rated show.

Ozzy Osbourne Visits Wounded Soldiers

Brian Saaristo and Nick Paupore of Clarksville, Tenn., were injured in the same improvised explosive device blast on the streets of Kirkuk, Iraq.

Today, they are recovering together at Walter Reed, living in the same hall at the Mologne House on the Walter Reed campus.

Paupore lost his right leg above the knee, and his injury has been slower to heal. By late August he was still waiting to be fitted for a computerized prosthesis, commonly called a C-leg.

One morning, after Saaristo had practiced walking on his own prostheses, the two parked their wheelchairs side by side and talked about their injuries.

“Have you ever thought about where your feet are?’’ Paupore asked Saaristo. “I would have liked to have had my leg, to burn it or bury it back here. It’s probably in a big pile somewhere."

The conversation turned a little lighter when Saaristo slipped a “shrinker" — what amputees call the tight, springy bandages that compress the ends of their limbs — over his head.

“We could rob stores" Paupore said, delighted.

“We’re the wheelchair bandits," Saaristo said, grinning.

Celebrities, athletes and dignitaries frequently visit Walter Reed Army Medical Center to meet the soldiers.

Rock icon OZZY OSBOURNE dropped by Saaristo’s bedside, as did one of today’s more famous - and notorious - baseball players.

“I don’t know who this is, do you?" Saaristo asks, pulling out a Polaroid snapshot and a signed baseball.

Sitting on the hospital bed next to Saaristo in the photo is San Francisco Giants slugger and frequent sourpuss Barry Bonds.

OZZY OSBOURNE - "There Is Only One BLACK SABBATH"; New Album Due Next Year!

Earlier today, an official confirmation from management stated that BLACK SABBATH stars BILL WARD (drummer), TONY IOMMI (guitar) and GEEZER BUTLER (bass) are hitting the road with former singer RONNIE JAMES DIO as HEAVEN & HELL. The OZZY OSBOURNE camp has issued the following statement:

"Tony Iommi and Ronnie Dio are working on a project together which has nothing to do with Black Sabbath. There is only one Black Sabbath. Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill will be touring late next year along with a new Black Sabbath album. However, Ozzy wishes Tony and Ronnie much success in their project together."

According to a press release sent out earlier today, "if all goes well, Heaven And Hell should be hitting the road in early 2007."

OZZY OSBOURNE 10 Days Away From Finishing New Album

"Yesterday, we arrived in Los Angeles from Las Vegas. From the airport it was a quick drive - well, you can never really have a quick drive in L.A. - with all the traffic - to the hotel. We checked in, changed our clothes, choked down a salad and then hit the road for our interview with Sharon Osbourne at Ozzy and Sharon's home. Sharon has a new autobiography (Extreme) and we wanted to ask her about her new book. In reading the book, one of the things you might discover is that her childhood was anything but normal (really an understatement.)

For those of you who watched MTV reality series, The Osbournes, Lola the bulldog is fine. She was very friendly, but a bit jealous. When we petted other Osbourne dogs (I think there were about eight dogs), Lola positioned herself between us and the other dogs until we were simply just petting her. It is hard not to love Lola - she is very sweet. Minnie is also fine – she is in England now. Sharon has a TV show in England, so Minnie has been there with her the past several months. Sharon has made a quick trip to the USA to promote her book and do other things and did not want to subject Minnie to the rigors of flying across the ocean and the country, so we did not see Minnie.

Ozzy came in to say hello, but then went to his studio which is adjacent to the house. Ozzy is busy working on a new CD - he told me that he hopes to be finished with it in 10 days or so. Apparently he has been working nonstop on it and is anxious to finish it."

In Addition, Market Wire is reporting that the Osbournes were scheduled to attend Darren Bousman's (Director of films Saw II and Saw III) Halloween party in Hollywood Hills last night. No word yet if Ozzy showed up or not.

Stars of the film and other celebrity guests were due in costume. The red carpet event was an exclusive gathering of celebrities, filmmakers, influential press and powerful industry players. Co-hosting the event was star of Saw III, Shawnee Smith. The horror-themed fete was considered the most sought-after Halloween invitation this year.

OZZY OSBOURNE To Hit The Road In April

Yesterday's (December 14th) episode of "Dr. Phil" featured a segment entitled "The Woman Behind The Madness" with OZZY OSBOURNE's wife/manager Sharon Osbourne.

Hype for the segment reads: "Sharon Osbourne knows all about life on the edge. She speaks candidly with Dr. Phil about life with Ozzy, her struggle with weight, and her tumultuous journey, which she chronicles in the new autobiography, Extreme."

Within the segment, Dr. Phil welcomes Sharon Osbourne onstage, where she immediately kicks off her shoes and gets comfortable.

“You’re just as busy as ever," Dr. Phil observes. "You’ve got your show in the UK, and you’ve got the X Factor [with Simon Cowell]."

"We’re in our third season now," Sharon says proudly. "I can’t believe it. I’ve actually lasted that long without getting fired!"

"So, how is Ozzy?" Dr. Phil asks.

OZZY OSBOURNE Worried About Sons New Police Reality TV Show

According to BANG Media International, OZZY OSBOURNE has been worrying about his son, Jack, who is filming a new police reality TV show.

The rocker was terrified Jack might get shot when he revealed he was venturing out on a night shift.

Ozzy said: "Jack's doing a new show where he's working at a police academy. I spoke to him recently just as he was putting on a bullet-proof vest for his night shift.
"I told him if they start shooting he should hide behind the biggest guy and duck."

Ozzy also revealed that while children Jack and Kelly are always welcome to come and visit since they left home, Kelly is not so keen to invite Ozzy over to her house.

Ozzy said: "I like it there. And then she told me not to get too comfortable because I wouldn't be invited again.

"Apparently we were going up and down stairs all night driving her insane."

Guitarist ZAKK WYLDE On New OZZY OSBOURNE Album - "We’ve Got Twenty Tunes; It Is Almost Done"

Imhotep.fi: You’ve been making the new Ozzy Osbourne album now, how has the project been going?
Wylde: "We’ve got twenty tunes, it is almost done. It is due to be done after this Black Label Society tour. Me and Mike Bordin have jammed around and made a bunch of tunes. Ozzy then just comes out and sings his ass off, that’s how we’ve always made it."

Imhotep.fi: Do you still remember the audition day which you had with Ozzy?
Wylde: "Well I did crap my pants, and then I played as hard as I could. Nothing has changed since then, except for my pants! When Ozzy said I was in the band, I just asked for his autograph and left. That was pretty much it."

Imhotep.fi: What about the rest of the year?
Wylde: "It is gonna be a busy year. First we are going to do a promotional acoustic tour on radio stations and then I’m going on tour with Ozz, so it is gonna be hectic. But no one’s forcing me! I just love this shit, I breath Black Label and that’s it bro. There’s nothing to do or say."
