A N U B I S was formed in May 2007 by "Pete Williamson", "Sarah Co'burn" (Pete's Daughter) and "Simon Lees ex Budgie lead guitarist" in order to write and record our own brand of music in our respective studio's.
Since it's conception the band has created interest across the globe and has recently inlisted a second guitarist, the former Budgie Lead Guiarist (2002) "Andy Hart" .
The band will be taking it's show on the road in 2008 mainly at festivals across Europe and hopefully beyond.
Each person involved has very different musical influences and styles. The Band Members are:
SARAH CO'BURN - ! ISIS ! who's influences are very varied, ranges from Acid Jazz, Ambient Jazz, 80's Rock and Electronic Music, modern day Rock such RHCP and SOAD, also some classic rock such as Led Zepplin. Sarah also likes to listen to new good acoustic guitar song writers.
SIMON LEES - ! THE PHARAOH ! (former Budgie, Al Atkins, Ozzmosis, Tantrum Guitarist) who's influences are Jake E Lee, Steve Vai, Dream Theater, Joe Satriani, Dave Gilmour, George Lynch, Ozzy, Zakk Wylde, Marillion, IQ, Sky, Mike Oldfield, Scorpions, Ultravox, Queensryche, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Seal, John Sykes, Skin, Extreme, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Budgie
PETE WILLIAMSON - ! ANUBIS ! (The Jackel Headed Geezer) who's influences are Hawkwind, Gong, Tim Blake and other Space Rock / Ambient Bands, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Motorhead, BAP, Rammstein, Scorpions and not least of all Pink Floyd.
ANDY HART - ! THE SPHINX ! (former Budgie, Target UK, Effigy Guitarist) who's influences are Jazz, Jazz Rock and Toto.
Our Debut Album is to be released late December 2007 called
