ANUBIS GATE - North American Release Date For New Album Confirmed

Locomotive Records has issued the following ANUBIS GATE press release:

"Locomotive Records will release Andromedia Unchained by Denmark’s Anubis Gate on August 14th. The highly respected Power Metal band already has two well-received studio albums to its credit: 2004’s Purification and 2005’s A Perfect Forever. This year’s model features Jacob Hansen on vocals and guitar, Morten Sorenson on drums, Jesper M. Jensen on guitar, Kim Oleson on synthesizer and guitar and Henrik Fevre on bass.

Taking their inspiration from such bands as QUEENSRYCHE, IRON MAIDEN, CRIMSON GLORY, FATES WARNING and SAVATAGE, Anubis Gate mixes’n’matches seemingly disparate metal elements to form a coherent musical whole. The band has always taken an ’80s-styled approach, added on to it with an epic feel, a ‘90s ambience and a rather dark modernistic progressiveness (complete with cool riffing) to rather spectacular results. Andromedia Unchained is no exception to that formula. Plus, add the power and might of some strong vocals and you’ve got a musical Molotov cocktail of lethal proportions."

ANUBIS GATE - Andromedia Unchained Concept Revealed

Denmark’s ANUBIS GATE have issued the following update:

"For all you hardcore Anubis Gate fans out there we have some real goodies:

1) We've decided to upload some samples of Jacob (Hansen) singing some of the songs from A Perfect Forever. This is your exclusive chance to hear the try-out demo's that Jacob did when he was applying for the vacant position as vocalist in the band when Torben (Askholm) quit. Remember: these are rough demo's, but we're sure that you all can hear why we chose Jacob. Check out the two samples in the media-player in the Media section here.
