THE GATHERING have issued the following update:

"Downfall has finally been scheduled for re-release on September 15th 2008!

The album will be a complete collection of all the Gathering's early recordings. All promos, (unreleased) EPs, demos, rehearsal tapes, the band recorded before and just after their legendary debut Always.... Now finally collected, restored and mastered. This gigantic double CD contains in total 27 songs with a total playing time of over 140 minutes. Together with several live recordings this album contains all material from the Gathering's early days, 1989 - 1993. Mastered and restored by Mike Wead (KING DIAMOND / MERCYFUL FATE). Contains further more extensive liner notes and rare old pictures and 7 never before released tracks.
