X-JAPAN - New Song 'IV' Available Via iTunes And On New "Best Of" Compilation; Two Reunion Shows Announced For Japan




According to JRock Revolution, on January 23rd the reunited X-JAPAN will issue their new song, 'IV', on iTunes in 23 countries. They include Japan, Korea, America, Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Holland, Norway, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland and Sweden. It will be available in Thailand, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong via iTunes soon.

The song is featured on the Saw IV movie soundtrack (closing theme) and includes guitar tracks composed by late guitarist Hide, who committed suicide on May 2nd, 1998 (since deemed accidental), reuniting all five band members on the track.

In other news, 'IV' and another new song entitled 'Without You' will be featured on a forthcoming Best Of compilation. A release date has yet to be confirmed.

Finally, X-JAPAN have announced two reunion shows for Tokyo, Japan. They will play March 28th (Destruction Night) and March 30th (Creation Night) at Tokyo Dome. Show details will be revealed soon.

X JAPAN - All Overseas Show Postponed



A reliable BW&BK source based in Tokyo has confirmed rumours that X JAPAN have postponed all upcoming shows due to take place outside of their native Japan. A detailed explanation will be issued soon, but the decision to scrap the shows was made due to drummer Yoshiki's ongoing health issues.

Dates affected are as follows:

5 - Paris, France - Villepinte Parc D'exposition

August
2 - Taipei, Taiwan - Taipei World Trade Center

September
13 - New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden

X JAPAN Issue Official Statement Regarding Postponed International Live Dates, Non-Performing Appearance At Japan Expo In Paris Still Possible

JRock Revolution has issued the following update:

"In a brief ten minute press conference, the first from X JAPAN without Yoshiki (drums/founder) present, Toshi (vocals), flanked by Pata (guitars) and Heath (bass), officially announced the postponement of X Japan's planned three lives in Paris, Taipei and New York. However, all members in their individual greetings put great emphasis on 'postponed, not canceled' and their intention to perform in those and possibly more locations at a later time.

Regarding Yoshiki's health, Toshi explained that Yoshiki currently is undergoing treatment in his home in Los Angeles and that he himself as well as the other members look forward to Yoshiki's recovery and their renewed activities. He added that fortunately Yoshiki's condition will not affect his everyday life, but that he will have to be careful not to put too much stress on his neck.

X Japan also issued official apologies to their fans in Japanese, English, French, Korean and Chinese.

In a point of positive news, Toshi, during the X Japan members' final greeting after the photo session at the end of the interview, mentioned the possibility that, pending the approval of Yoshiki's doctors, Yoshiki might make an appearance at the Japan Expo in Paris, July 3rd - 6th, and possibly with all of X Japan's members."
