TERROR SYNDROME drummer Ryan van Poederooyen (THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND) has issued the following update:

"Hey Terrorizers,

Here you go fuckers!!!! 'Thrill Pill' was the most requested song other than 'When God Was Sober' which was a close second. This also happens to be one of Denton's favorite songs and the first song I wrote for the album.

So, here it is! 'Thrill Pill' is now up on our MP3 player for you all to check out. Thanks again to Devin Townsend for doing a fucking amazing job on mixing. All of us in Terror Syndrome are stoked on how the recording sounds. We can't wait for you all to hear the whole album.

TERROR SYNDROME - "An Awesome First Week" For Debut Album


TERROR SYNDROME drummer Ryan van Poederooyen (THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND) has issued the following update:

"Yo Terrorizers,

Just wanted to thank you all for an awesome first week of our album being on sale. We've received pages and pages of messages from you guys commenting on how much you love the album and your fan mail means a ton to us. Thanks so much for supporting and spreading the TERROR. Tell everyone, re-post our bulletins, add our songs and just spread the word. The more albums we sell the faster we'll be hitting the road to tear your city apart live.... and we can't wait.

There will be more cool news about the album being released in the next day or so, so stay posted!

For those of you who still haven't heard.... the debut Terror Syndrome album was released on July 10th 2008. It was supposed to be released on August 9th but we were informed an earlier release date was possible so we released the album. You can get the album world wide on iTUNES, Rhapsody and Napster.

"Hey Everyone,

So we've had the same mp3's up for quite some time and we feel it's time to put up an mp3 that added some twisted craziness to the Terror Syndrome album.... 'Spinning Backwards' featuring Devin Townsend (lead guitar) and Michael Manring (bass) is officially up on our MySpace player. Lots of you who have already bought the debut Terror Syndrome album off of iTunes (released July 10th, 2008) have heard this song but for those who haven't, here you go.

This song is an instrumental and it was written by myself and Dave Young. I really wanted to close the album out with something crazy and messed up to leave people thinking, 'What the hell????' I told Devin and Michael to go nuts and do something really out there and they definitely did! Both of them did such an amazing job. This turned out better than I could of imagined and you'll know why the song it titled 'Spinning Backwards' once you've heard it. Hope you guys enjoy the craziness.

Thanks for all your support. We get fan mail everyday saying how much you guys are digging the new album. TERROR SYNDROME Featured In Sony's "Metal" Construction Kit

"Some cool news about some Terror Syndrome members. Dave, Mike and Denton were featured in Sony's brand new Metal Construction Kit
(just recently released). Dave and Mike provided all the Guitar and Bass playing for the digital kit, while Denton provided the growls and screams. I was originally asked to record the drum parts but was too busy to do the session and suggested the rest of Terror Syndrome to do the gig for the other instruments, the rest is history. TERROR SYNDROME - Debut Show Confirmed


TERROR SYNDROME drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen (THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND) has issued the following update:

"Hey Everyone,

The Terror is going live on October 28th, 2008! Terror Syndrome will be performing live at the Tom Lee Music Hall in Downtown Vancouver for the Vancouver Drum Festival presented by Tom Lee Music.

I was asked to be part of the drum festival and do a drum clinic. The festival also wanted Terror Syndrome to perform live after my clinic. The festival is going to be mainly focused on heavy drummers. There are some well-known metal drummers scheduled to appear at the festival... it will be awesome, trust me! Tom Lee will have a press release very soon stating all the guest drummers and details.

This will mark Terror Syndrome's first live show and it will debut newly acquired singer Dave Padden's (ANNIHILATOR) first show with the band as well. We've been rehearsing for just 1 week with Dave since he joined the band and the music sounds heavy as fuck! We're all excited to bring it live. It's been a long time coming but we'll make it worth the wait. This is just the start of the Terror live. We're currently looking into more shows and plan on playing live anywhere and everywhere.
