Voices of Rock Radio will make their long-awaited debut performance in front of an enthusiastic Belgium crowd as part of Lokerse Feesten (
www.lokersefeesten.be).
The super vocal group, which has been in rehearsals since the beginning of Summer, features
Kevin Chalfant (The Storm/707),
Jimi Jamison (ex-Survivor),
Derek St. Holmes (ex-Ted Nugent Band),
John Cafferty (Beaver Brown Band) and
Wally Palmar (The Romantics). Joining the five for the on-stage festivities will be guitarist
Josh Ramos (The Storm/Two Fires) and Kevin's Fly2Fr33dom Band.
In what promises to be "an entire festival of hit songs in one band," Voices of Rock Radio will be performing approximately twenty songs in all, including such hits as
"Eye of the Tiger," "I've Got A Lot To Learn About Love," "Stranglehold," "On The Dark Side," "What I Like About You," "The Search is Over," "Megaforce," "Cat Scratch Fever," "Tender Years" and
"Talking In Your Sleep" amongst a barrage of other well-known chart topping songs sung by the original singers of the hits.
In addition, the audience can expect to hear a Journey hit or two such as
"Don't Stop Believing" and "Separate Ways" in the set as Chalfant briefly took over lead vocals for the band in the mid-90's.
"When you hear and see these singers performing all of these hits in one show, it's like tuning into your favorite rock radio station and cranking it up full blast through a 50,000 watt stereo," states
Kevin Chalfant. "You will simply love every minute of it!"
Derek St. Holmes says, "Experience the resurrection of real rock... this show is a powerful rock experience to be had by all."
Wally Palmar comments, "'Voices' is like opening a can of instant hits... guaranteed to rock you hard."
Jimi Jamison adds, "The band is as solid as the rock it plays!"
John Cafferty expresses that the collaboration of the singers "Ain't nothin' but a Rock'n'Roll party and everybody's bringing their hits... get your dancing shoes on!"
As of now, it appears that the first slated date for Voices of Rock Radio (with the possible exception of Wally Palmar and John Cafferty) in the United States will be at Waterfest in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on Thursday, August 21.
