ALICE COOPER Participates In Charity Golf Tournament

Celebrities and former athletes took a swing toward fighting cancer at the Dodge Riverside Golf Club in Council Bluffs Saturday afternoon.

The annual Spirit of Courage Celebrity Golf Tournament raises money for Jennie Edmundson Hospital’s charitable cancer fund that provides financial help to patients.

Competing celebrities understand cancer affects everyone. "My dad had leukemia, it got him, his grandfather got pancreatic cancer, it's everywhere," said actor Alan Thicke, who enjoyed a round of golf with rock musician ALICE COOPER, former Nebraska lineman Kenny Walker and our own Dave Webber.

Cooper performs Saturday night at the Stir Concert Cove in Council Bluffs. A dinner and auction will be held in Harrah's ballroom.

A no-limit Texas Hold 'Em Tournament starts at Harrah’s at 1 p.m. Sunday with all the money raised going to the charity.
