Halloween Coming Soon For ROB ZOMBIE
Halloween 9 51900bo7
The following report is courtesy of Don Kaye from Launch:

ROB ZOMBIE finishes his tour with GODSMACK next Sunday (October 1st) in Concord, California and will start pre-production for his remake of the 1978 horror classic, Halloween. Zombie, who is writing the screenplay as well as directing the film, told us that retaining what people loved about Halloween while also taking a fresh approach is his biggest challenge: "It's finding a way to make those elements that are so familiar and so iconic new again without ruining them. I mean, that is really the delicate balancing act. And I think it can be done, I think most of the time it's not done. I think you just have to go into a project like this, not with a chainsaw, but with a precision laser as to how you're gonna cut things apart and piece them back together so that you sort of satisfy all sides."

Zombie's take on Halloween is tentatively due out on October 19th, 2007. The original movie, directed by John Carpenter and starring Jamie Lee Curtis, is one of the most influential horror films of all time. This will be Zombie's third film as a director, following 2003's House of 1000 Corpses and 2005's The Devil's Rejects. Zombie and Godsmack play tonight (Tuesday, September 26th) in Boise, Idaho. Zombie has been supporting his third solo album, Educated Horses.

"Houses of 1000 Corpses" était pas mal, de Rob Zombie. Avec un budget correct, je pense que ce Halloween-là sera digne de la série.

a noter dans les reprises le let it ride de BTO dont on a parlé il y a peu :

Rob Zombie has proved that he is not only a heavy metal god, but also a horror film master. His remake of the 1978 classic "Halloween" murdered the box office record for a Labor Day release with $31 million. Zombie not only brought the classic horror franchise back to life, but also used his musical talents to make a killer soundtrack to accompany the release. The "Halloween" soundtrack features classic hits from the '70s, like ALICE COOPER's "Only Women Bleed" and BLUE ÖYSTER CULT's "(Don't Fear) The Reaper". In addition to the sinister arena rock from the '70s, Rob also had some original music created for the film.

Check out the eerie stalker score of "The Shape Stalks Laurie" (audio) by Tyler Bates ("300", "Slither", "The Devil's Rejects") and the haunting remake of "Mr. Sandman" (audio) by Nan Vernon.

"Halloween: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" (cover artwork) track listing:

01. Dialogue ("These Are The Eyes")
02. Halloween Theme 2007 - TYLER BATES
03. Dialogue ("Is The Boogieman Real?")
04. Don't Fear The Reaper - BLUE ÖYSTER CULT
05. Dialogue ("Are You Saying Michael Did This?")
06. Love Hurts - NAZARETH
07. Dialogue ("I Hope She Likes Cripples")
08. Baby, I Love Your Way - PETER FRAMPTON
