"It is with great pride and excitement that I would announce here, and only here that the New Takara Album Invitation To Forever will be released Oct 31 in Europe from SPV Records, and November 16 for the U.S. and the rest of the world through Progrock Records.
This will be our 6th album. A bit about our new album - the lineup for the new Takara album Invitation To Forever is Gustavo Monsanto (Timo Toliki) vocals, Neal Grusky Guitar, Bjorn Englen (Yngwie Malmsteen) Bass, and Patrick Johansson (Yngwie Malmsteen) Drums, and Brook Hansen Keyboards.
This album also features an extraordinary reunion off Jeff Scot Soto on back up vocals. It has been about 10 years since Jeff has last appeared on any Takara album. This album will be a bit different than past Takara albums.
Invitation To Forever will be a little bit heavier and have more edge than previous Takara albums, while still yet retaining the trademark distinctive Takara melodic rock. This is a very exciting album. Many fans will discover our new hidden gem on vocals, Brazilian vocal sensation Gustavo Monsanto. He will carry Takara. like his predecessors before him in true traditional Takara form and style. We will also have on the album as a tribute to the 20 year anniversary of the original formation of Takara a remake of our song Spotlight which was on the first album Eternal Faith. This was the song that started it all for Takara.. Keep on rocking Peace out!"

TAKARA - President Of ProgRock Records Comments On New Album, Now Accepting Pre-Orders


TAKARA guitarist Neal Grusky recently confirmed reports that the band would issue their new album, Invitation To Forever, on November 16th in North America through ProRock Records. Label president Shawn Gordon has issued the following statement:

“Yet again I get to work with a band I’ve been a fan of, and local to me to boot. What’s great about working with Neal is that he really understands the business part of this business as well as being an amazing musician, so it’s a simple matter to jump back and forth between topics, not to mention this is a smoking album that is a great listen.”

With only a few days left before the album is done, I can honestly tell you that this album really is coming out amazing. It looks to be right at the top with with any of your favorite Takara albums, maybe even better ! I am excited, and I am sure you will be too. We had a slight delay in getting the new website/store up,
www.takararocks.com but now it is up and working. I got several emails from
people who tried to buy our new album and couldnt find the link, we appoligize
for that. We just wanted to make sure you all know it is now up and working.

Happy New Year! We want to wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year for 09'
What a year 08' was. Many changes with Takara, including a brand new album. With the release of our New album "Invitation To Forever" came the international music community attention back to Takara. It felt as if no time had passed between our last album release and our current one. We are very pleased with the new album. Many of you fans have taken the time to write us, and let know how you feel about the album, we are grateful for this.



We have now completely revampled both of our web sites (www.takararocks.com, and www.myspace.com/takararocks ) The sites have been receiving quite a few orders for purchases direct for the new album, as well as our past albums that are for sale too. The site now accepts all credit card, money orders, paypal, check, and cash for Takara all purchases. Shortly, Takara tee shirts, and posters will be available. Also, both site have samples of our songs from the new album "Invitation to Forever" as well as music from all of our other albums too.



Next month Fireworks magazine will Feature a Takara album review/ interview/ cover cd with our new song "Angel of Lies".

Also, next month Powerplay magazine will feature an album review, and song on the cover cd "Angel of Lies".
