LYDIA LASKA To Record With Billy Anderson
Norwegia punkers LYDIA LASKA, who recently announced they have signed with Norway Rat Records, have pegged Billy Anderson (NEUROSIS, CATHEDRAL, FANTOMAS, SWANS) for the mixing and mastering of their forthcoming 7" entitled Could I have A Go On Your Girl, Please?.
Due for release in November of this year, the track will include guest appearances by Emil Nikolaisen of SERENA-MANEESH on guitar, and Sissy Wish on backing vocals, while the B side will be a completely new version of 'Mandy', previously released on the band's We're Nothing Compared To Ourselves EP, and will feature guitars by Jan Devik (PRUDENCE, JUNIPHER GREENE, FOLQUE). Nikolaisen will perform mixing duties on the album that will follow the release of the single, and is scheduled for a February 2009 release.
In other news, Lydia Laska are also shooting a video for 'Could I Have A Go On Your Girl, Please?' directed by Thomas Lunde of Trøbbel Film, who also directed the 'Love and Penetration' video that earned the band a nomination for Best Short Film from NRK's P3TV film programme. The release of the video is planned to coincide with that of the single.
