| Fans of 80s metal.... news from Odin, Jeff’s 1st band! Big news for fans of 80's metal... Odin, the classic LA band featuring Armored Saint Jeff Duncan, is releasing a new compilation in January 2009. Much of the material on the compiltation has never been available on CD before and ALL of it has been completely remastered by Roy Z. You know Roy Z... the producer behind recent albums from Judas Priest, Helloween, Rob Halford, Bruce Dickinson, Sebastian Bach and Yngwie Malmsteen. Yeah, that guy! Not only that, but the CD is now available through a special pre-sale promotion directly through Odin's Myspace page. If you order a copy during the pre-sale you pay just $15, plus shipping AND your copy will be autographed by the band. Pre-sale orders will be shipped in mid-January and then it goes on sale through places like CD Baby and iTunes. A word of advice... you can wait until it becomes available through retail, but then your copy won't be signed and you'll get it a month after everybody else. Why wait? Seriously, people! | ARMORED SAINT Drummer "Relearning 21 Songs" For Upcoming Live Shows  Gonzo Sandoval, drummer for legendary California-based ARMORED SAINT is currently "relearning 21 songs for the live performances ahead," according to a brief band update. As previously reported, DEATH ANGEL and Armored Saint are teaming up for a string of Australian dates in March, presented by Scorpion Entertainment. Dates are below. The band are performing a warm-up show at The Key Club in West Hollywood, California on March 6th. Armored Saint are officially announcing that they’ve begun writing new songs for a new record due in 2009. The band line-up is as it was on 2000’s Revelation and 1992’s Symbol of Salvation: John Bush (vocals), Jeff Duncan (guitars), Phil Sandoval (guitars), Joey Vera (bass) and Gonzo (drums). The band has written close to 12 songs as of now and are ready to enter the recording studio in the next month or so. Some working titles include: 'Loose Cannon', 'Chilled', 'La Raza' and 'Black Feet'. The band plans on entering the studio with bassist Joey Vera handling the engineering and producing duties. | |

| Rockers in and around San Bernadino and Barstow... unite! On January 24th you have the opportunity to see 3/5 of Armored Saint live and onstage at Angels Roadhouse in Apple Valley. Brothers Gonzo and Phil will debut Suns Of Sandoval, the new project/tribute to their late father, Jesus Sandoval (RIP 3/8/08).
