Italian folk metallers ELVENKING have posted the following message:

"The studio report is online! Click here for a day by day diary.

Elvenking recently introduced new live guitarist Luca, a long-time friend of the band.

Said the band, "Both of us will take our time to see if things work out in every way. In any case from now on, EK will definitely have two guitarists on stage

ELVENKING Complete Acoustic Parts For New Record; Studio Photos Available

Italian folk metallers ELVENKING have issued the following update:
"We want to cheer everybody a few hours before Christmas! As far as the new album is concerned, Aydan (pictured left) has just finished recording the acoustic guitars and once again the result is awesome! He will write more about his session in the next couple of days. In the meantime me and him, and the rest of the band of course, wish you a merry X-mas!! See ya in the next days!! ELVENKING - Video Footage From European Tour Available

Italian folk metallers ELVENKING have issued the following update:

"A new video has been uploaded on Elvenking YouTube channel. It is a collection of various clips shot during EK European Tour (2006). Part 2 will follow soon."

Elvenking recently finished recording their new album and are in Helsinki, Finland mixing at Sonic Pump Studios. Swedish heavy metal legend Mike Wead (KING DIAMOND, MERCYFUL FATE, MEMENTO MORI, FIREGOD, ABSTRAKT ALGEBRA, CANDLEMASS) will guest on Elvenking's as-yet-untitled new album, to be released this fall.

ELVENKING - Perugia Gig Postponed

Italian folk metallers ELVENKING have issued the following update:

"The gig that should've taken place in Perugia, May 26th, has been canceled for reasons that affected the venue which had to host the event. The gig will most probably be postponed to September, at the same venue, but nothing's confirmed yet. Keep on visiting these pages for news."

"After the worldwide success of previous album The Winter Wake, we are proud to announce all the details about Elvenking's new album.

ELVENKING Elvenking On TV Tonight; New Video Shoot Complete




Italian folk metallers ELVENKING will be featured tonight (June 18th) at 9 PM (Italian time) on Get Rocked!, a TV Program broadcasted on Italian 3 Channel - Aydan (guitar) and Zender (drums) will be interviewed. The show will also talk about Midsummer Festival that will take place next Monday (June 25th) in Rome.

In other news, the band has finished to shoot the video for the song 'The Divided Heart' last week. Director Mirco Andreis and his staff at Video Factory will be busy for the next two weeks with the post-production.

The first part of Making Of The Scythe has been posted online on Italian folk metallers ELVENKING's official YouTube Channel. According to the band, "this first video is about the drums and guitars. More to come very soon!"

ELVENKING Announce Live Date, Reveal The Scythe Release Party Details

Italian folk metallers ELVENKING have issued the following update:

"Elvenking will play one show in September before the release of The Scythe. This will be the very last show before the release of the album!"

The date is

9 - Gonars (UD), Italy at Summer End Fest (with SLOWMOTION APOCALYPSE)

The band continue, "After this, the band will be busy preparing the "release party" that will most probably take place the night of Halloween in their hometown.

On that occasion the band will introduce their new album and will also celebrate their 10th Anniversary!!

So expect a very unique show!

ELVENKING - Temporary Violinist/Keyboard Player Announced

Italian folk metallers ELVENKING have issued the following update:

"Last week Elyghen (violin/keyboard player) has temporarily moved to Ireland for working reasons. Don’t worry: he won’t leave the band! He’ll try to be here with us as much as possible, but of course this won’t be easy all the time. That’s why in this period, Eleonora (a girl who has played the violin in the quartet that played in Elvenking albums), will help the band with the live gigs where Elyghen cannot be present. She played with us Friday night and the result was great! The same gig saw also the debut of our new live guitarist Raffaello (Luca was forced to leave his duties with the band for personal reasons) and the impact on stage has been wonderful for all of us! Pictures of this event will be put online in the next days but here you can have a small taste of our two new live companions!

In other news, we want to spend a couple of words for Greg 'Super-G' Marchak, the sound engineer and producer of JON OLIVA'S PAIN, who sadly disappeared Thursday night. This was a very sad news for all of us, since we spent so much great time together on tour last year and he has been incredibly kind with Elvenking, helping us out with sounds each and every night! Like all the other guys from Jon’s crew he has been a friend to us those days, and as a friend he will be remembered. R.I.P. Greg."
