ELVENKING Violinist/Bassist Elyghen To Rejoin Band In Italy
Back in September, 2007, Italian metallers
ELVENKING explained that
Elyghen (violinist/keyboardist) had temporarily moved to Ireland for working reasons. They emphasized that he wasn't leaving the band permanently, and that Eleonora (the girl who had played the violin in the quartet that performed on
Elvenking albums) would help the band out on live dates that Elyghen couldn't be present for.
The band have issued the following update:
"Elvenking will be playing in Verona (Italy) with Elyghen!
As previously announced the violin player is staying in Ireland for personal and professional reasons and will be playing on stage when possible. The band has made some gigs with Eleonora so far, a great player who is substituting Elyghen when he's not available.
At the moment this is the only gig scheduled with him until he gets back to Italy, but come back later on to check the next live dates!"
The above mentioned date (flyer pictured) is scheduled for February 1st at Lucille in Verona, Italy. Also on the bill are SPELLBLAST.
Elvenking's newest album, The Scythe, was released through AFM Records in Europe on September 14th, and North America through Candlelight Records on November 6th - regular version, and in Japan through Soundholic Records on November 21st.
