According to the Herald Sun, Australian actor Alex O'Loughlin's parents suffered a "High Voltage" shock when they got wind of reports he was the son of AC/DC frontman Bon Scott.

The "Oyster Farmer" star's happily married mom, who was pretty confident of the identity of her son's father, apparently fired off a quick e-mail demanding her offspring explain the speculation.

"It's definitely not true," his Oz agent Nathan Morris said yesterday. "Obviously, his mum knows that — so she sent him an email asking him about it."

O'Loughlin, who is filming in Canada, apparently denied sparking the rumors.

"He is amused by the whole thing and thinks it has just evolved from a rumour on the Internet," Morris said.
