The South Dakota State Fair has announced a lineup for its grandstand entertainment that could infect Huron with some 'Cat Scratch Fever'.
The state fair, which runs from August 30 to September 3 in Huron, will welcome the classic rock madman and hunting enthusiast TED NUGENT for a September 2 concert.
“We’re bringing back the classic rock that everybody has been asking for,” says Candi Hettinger, the fair’s marketing and events coordinator.
Some rock fans can respect Nugent for his gonzo stage antics and classic rock hits like 'Cat Scratch Fever' and 'Wango Tango'.
But others might admire the Michigan man more for his hunting advocacy.
Hettinger says Nugent’s annual hunting trips to South Dakota were part of the decision to book the Motor City Madman.
“Absolutely it does. He’s a big outdoor enthusiast. He’s actually a member of the South Dakota archery association,” Hettinger says.
