JON OLIVA To Produce Debut DOCTRINE Album; More Line-Up Details Revealed
As previously reported, DOCTRINE was founded by majestic keyboardist Dr. DAniel "DR. DANger" Fasciano (credited on
TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, SAVATAGE, JON OLIVA’S PAIN albums). The DOCTRINE line-up is as follows:
lead vocals - Jim Dorian, lead vocals - Tomey Sellars, lead guitar – Tom McDyne, keyboards - Dr. Daniel "Dr. DANger" Fasciano, drums – Nate Keefer.
The newest members to join Doctrine are bassist - Sam Conable (CRYPTIC VISION, DEVIN CARMICLE) and second lead guitarist – Shane French (former- Jon Oliva's Pain, ex-CIRCLE II CIRCLE)
Also joining the band are Tour Manager and Front Of House (live audio engineer) – Gary Muchmore (SAVATAGE, DOKKEN, CINDERELLA, CRIMSON GLORY, METAL CHURCH) and Lighting Director - Chris Jones (DORIAN, MANOWAR, HOLY HELL, RHAPSODY OF FIRE, OBITUARY, NOCTURNUS)
Doctrine will be part of a very special triple bill concert featuring Jon Oliva’s Pain, WADE BLACK’S BLACK REIGN on September 29th at Club Bourbon Street in New Port Richey, Florida.
The debut album from Doctrine will be recorded at Global Artists Recording Studio in Pinellas Park, FL and will be produced by Jon Oliva (Savatage) and co-produced by Dr. DAniel "DR. DANger" Fasciano and Tom McDyne.
Doctrine will be filming at least two music videos during November and December. According to a band update, "at the very least we hope to be allowed to show everyone a teaser clip on January 19th when Doctrine makes their appearance at winter NAMM 2008 in Anaheim, CA. but due to current label interest this date is subject to change."
