In a teaser of the furthering blurred lines between the computer generation and live music, the NIGHTWISH performance from Vintage Vinyl, in Fords, NJ was simulcast live tonight (October 19th) at BraveWords.com, one of the few limited/exclusive providers of the feed worldwide! While the technology still has some glitches on the live front (camera pixellating keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen throughout, overhead camera washing out facial features, sound weaker than on sponsoring Yebo.com website) - it was a bold move that lays the band bare, particularly the vocals of bassist Marco Hietala and newcomer Anette Olzon (who is still battling an imported cold). Nightwish played only new material (off Dark Passion Play) including 'The Poet And The Pendulum', 'Bye Bye Beautiful' and 'Amaranth'. Afterwards, the Finns (and Swedish frontwoman) are off to Worchester, MA before heading to the sold out Metropolis show, in Montreal, on Sunday.
