SAMMY HAGAR Confirms Super Bowl Weekend Live Date In Las Vegas

Former VAN HALEN frontman SAMMY HAGAR will be celebrating this year's Super Bowl by performing at the The Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 8 PM. Visit www.palmspearl.com for more infomation.

Super Bowl XLII will be played on February 3, 2008 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

SAMMY HAGAR Fans Surprised In Lake Tahoe

Legendary rock vocalist SAMMY HAGAR (ex-VAN HALEN) sees his site updated with the following:

Sammy was spotted Saturday night at the Cabo Wabo in Lake Tahoe with an impromptu jam session with the Tahoe house band NOTHING PERSONAL and special guest BRIAN ADAMS.

Sammy was hanging in the Red Rocker room with friends and family when Brian stopped in… a few waboritas later the two decided to delight the fans that happened to be in the club.

Brian (with harmonica in hand) and Sammy (with guitar) ripped through a set that included: 'Rock N Roll Blues', 'Going Down', 'Whole Lotta Love', 'Honky Tonk Women', 'Mas Tequila', 'Roadhouse Blues', 'Rock Candy' (with son Aaron on vocals).

After leaving the stage, Nothing Personal started running through a few tunes. Brian suggested that his guitar player join in on the fun, and another waborita later the three returned to the stage for another 45 minutes.

Sammy had such a great time, he vowed to head to Cabo and get on stage this week.... check in for Tahoe photos in the next few days, also tune into Cabo Wabo Radio for a special live Sammy performance this week."

As previously reported, Sammy will play Casino Rama in Orillia, ON (Canada) on Wednesday, May 21st. Tickets, available now through the casino or TicketMaster, range in price from $46 to $57.50.

Hagar has one other Ontario show booked, in London on Thursday, July 24th at the fifth annual Rock The Park Festival.

Ex-VAN HALEN singer Sammy Hagar recently spoke to Ralph Sutton of the nationally syndicated rock radio show "The Tour Bus" (web site) about his former band's reunion with frontman David Lee Roth and their decision to replace bassist Michael Anthony with guitarist Eddie Van Halen's 17-year-old son Wolfgang. "They just keep going, making more and more mistakes," Hagar said. "The reunion with Dave was the greatest thing they could have done, but why didn't they just keep Mike one more time?! They just can't do the right thing by the fans. I don't know why that band… There's just something quirky to where they… It's almost like they wanna just push 'em [the fans] as far as they can and see if they'll still come back."

According to www.Billboard.com , VAN HALEN's recent reunion tour ended up a massive success, wrapping June 2 in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a total gross of more than $93 million and close to one million in attendance from 74 shows.

The tour featured founding members David Lee Roth, and Eddie and Alex Van Halen, along with Wolfgang Van Halen.

The shows marked the first time Roth had performed with the band in more than 23 years. VAN HALEN's handlers say it was the top-grossing tour in the band's history.

VAN HALEN's last toured with Sammy Hagar in 2004, grossing nearly $40 million, according to Billboard Boxscore.
