BLACK 'N BLUE Confirmed As Headline Act For Z Rock Rock 08


This year's Z Rock 08 festivlall will be held May 16th - 17th at The Asylum, Hampton Street, Hockley, Birmingham, England.

Organizers check in with the following update: "After months of negotiations we are very proud to announce the headline act for Z Rock 08 on May 17th has been fully confirmed.

BLACK 'N BLUE have signed contracts for the event which will be the bands first European appearance since 1983!

The band will feature all original members except for Tommy Thayer. Everybody at Z is excited about the bands appearance which will lay to rest much speculation about the band and their forthcoming release which has been banded about by uninformed sections of the press over recent years.

Jaime St James issued the following comment re. the bands appearance on European shores: "We have not rocked on any European soil since 1983, so if you weren't at Hammersmith Odeon when we opened for WHITESNAKE
then you missed us... wow, hitch up your panties and get ready for an Autoblast you lovely bastards... I cant wait."

Z Rock 08 festival organizers have issued the following message;

"We have today received a press release that states that Britny Fox are off Z Rock 08 and all other planned dates during 2008. We we're aware of some issues surrounding Tommy Paris but have been awaiting to hear back re the situation.

We are now seeking a replacement act and will make an announcement shortly. Obviously we are as shocked as most fans as this was certainly not expected, watch this space."

Z Rock 08 - THE STEVE GRIMMETT BAND Confirmed

Z Rock 08 festival organizers have issued the following message:

"THE STEVE GRIMMETT BAND are the latest addition to Z Rock 08 on May 17th. Z 08 sees Steve's return to Z Rock after 4 years when he played with LIONSHEART at Z Rock 04.

Steve made the following comment re his involvement in Z 08: "It's extremely exciting to be back playing at Z and I was very happy to have been asked. Given the quality of the lineup, we are very much looking forward to appearing alongside such artists that I know and respect. This is going to be one hell of a weekend. We are looking forward to unleashing songs from our current album and also give fans the chance to hear past material too. I am sure fans will not be disappointed, we are 100 percent there already."

We hope to finalise the replacement issues re BRITNY FOX and announce some additions etc. for day one also over the next few days."

STORMZONE To Play Two Sets At Z Rock 08

Z Rock 08 is being held May 16th - 17th at The Asylum, Hampton Street, Hockley, Birmingham, England. Organizers have issued the following update:

Tickets sales are close to that needed to announce a further show in 2009 and we urge everyone to help make this happen by buying in advance via www.myspace.com/zrockfest or ST Records Dudley or Swordfish Birmingham. Tickets will be available online until noon on Sunday May 11th and from ST and Swordfish until 12 noon on May 16th. In the event that tickets are remaining on the day they will be priced as follows May 16th - £25 and on May 17th - £50."
