More to follow...
Vocalist/bass guitarist/songwriter Glenn Hughes is a true original. No other rock musician has carved such a distinctive style, blending the finest elements of hard rock, soul and funk. That astonishing voice is Hughes' calling card. He's known as a singer's singer. In fact, STEVIE WONDER once called Hughes his favourite white singer. THE KLF famously dubbed him 'The Voice of Rock' after Glenn provided the incredible vocals for their international mega hit 'What Time Is Love?', and since then, the name has stuck, and few - if any - would refute it.
Finding enormous international fame with DEEP PURPLE in the 70's, and with a successful and critically acclaimed solo career since the early 90's, Glenn's recent albums have featured his musical brother-in arms Chad Smith from the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS on drums. Glenn?'s new album, First Underground Nuclear Kitchen - due for release in May 2008 - again features Chad Smith on drums, and was produced by Glenn and engineered by Grammy award winning Jim Scott (AUDIOSLAVE, DIXIE CHICKS) and promises to be the finest yet in a long and distinguished career.
Glenn has also just left an updated voice message regarding the new album and tour dates, plus a plea to support Mel Galley in his time of need, over on his
here page.
