pour les amateurs de glam, du classique, a noter que le groupe cherche un chanteur :
http://www.myspace.com/damageddolls“I’m so sick and tired of always ending up in another cover band, only playing boring cover songs. Well, back to search for a singer and a drummer who wants to play great 80’s sleaze/hardrock.” That was Linus’ thoughts when he left his latest band, in the end of 2004.
His brother Jacob, the bassplayer, talked to 2 friends, one who sang and one who played the drums and they got together with Linus to start rehearsing. After only 1 week they entered a competition with 12 other bands. They didn’t win, and after that the band split up.
Linus was on his own, and after almost a year spent with hiring and firing potential band members, meeting with a synthoriented French producer and an unsuccessful trip to a studio in Stockholm, Linus was going nowhere very slowly.
HOLM WAS FOUNDAt the end of 2005 Linus was celebrating new years eve at a friend’s party and next to him sat a funny little guy with big blonde hair. When people called at him they would yell “Joey Tempest”. Of course his name wasn’t Joey Tempest- it was Marcus Holm. Linus and Marcus talked some, drank some more, but never mentioned anything about music.
Two days later, Linus talked to his sister, she said that Holm had been singing “Bed of Roses” at a graduation some years earlier and that he was a very good singer. “Wow, Holm isn’t only an 80’s glamrocker, but if he can sing Bon Jovi songs, he can also take very highpitch notes”, Linus thought and decided to give him a call.
Unfortunately Holm was travelling throughout Thailand at the time, but in February when he returned, Linus called him up. They talked about music- how great the 80’s hardrock was, about Mötley Crüe, Poison and other bands they both liked a lot. They decided to meet at Linus’ place, where he showed Holm some of his songs that he had recorded in his amateurstudio from 2002 and to that day. Jacob Holm liked what he heard, and he sang to prove to Linus that he could. He sang Girls, girls, girls by Mötley Crüe and nailed the highpitch notes. AWESOME!
When Holm left he got a cd with two songs Linus had written. A week later, they met again and Holm had written lyrics and melody to both songs. ‘Don’t stop rocking’ and ‘Twilight dancing’ was recorded.
JACOB JOINEDLinus and Holm were writing songs and looking for band members until May 2006 when Linus brother Jacob decided to join the band as bass player.
AND LUKAS CAME ALONGAfter being away from the music-business and drums for quite a while, Lukas saw an ad from a band looking for a new drummer in October of 2006. He hesitated, but finally decided to call Jacob.
