LITA FORD Added To Rock The Bayou Fest For Her Second Performance In 15 Years

The four-day, two-stage, Rock The Bayou festival has announced the addition of LITA FORD, lead guitarist and international pop metal legend, to an already impressive lineup. The upcoming Labor Day weekend bash also announced a beefed-up roster, adding seminal 80’s hard rockers L.A. GUNS, JACKYL, BANG TANGO and FASTER PUSSYCAT.

Ford will take the concert stage for the second time in 15 years – this time in Houston for a Rock The Bayou lineup that is already burgeoning with more than 40 artists including rock superstars: SAMMY HAGAR, ALICE COOPER, QUEENSRYCHE, BRET MICHAELS, TWISTED SISTER. SKID ROW, DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB and GILBY CLARKE .

Ford, the former lead guitarist of THE RUNAWAYS – acknowledged as the first successful all-girl rock band – garnered hits in several countries during her noteworthy career. At the age of 17, Ford joined the Runaways, fronting a teenage hard rock band with JOAN JETT that would gain a worldwide following opening for THE RAMONES, VAN HALEN, CHEAP TRICK and TOM PETTY.

Early-bird $99 tickets to Rock The Bayou will be available through July 31st, covering all four days of the festival. One of the most affordable music events in the country, Rock The Bayou also offers active and retired U.S. military (with ID) half-price admission.
