As previously reported, the forthcoming album, The Cosmos Rocks, will be released on CD in North America via Hollywood Records/Universal on October 14th. The album will be out via EMI throughout the rest of the world on September 15 as a regular CD and Limited Edition CD/DVD and double-LP.

QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS Add South America Dates To Current Cosmos Rocks Tour

Following months of speculation which has created frenzied activity on internet forums and social networking sites, QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS have now officially confirmed that they are extending their present eight week UK and European tour to include a number of concerts in South America.

Marking Queen’s first return to Latin America since the band’s historic dates in the early 80’s, most famously headlining Rock in Rio in January 1985, Queen + Paul Rodgers will take the current ‘Cosmos Rocks’ show to Chile, Argentina and Brazil after completing the current tour in the UK at Wembley Arena on November 8.

The South American dates will begin in the Chilean capital Santiago with a concert at the 20,000 seater San Carlos de Apoquindo stadium on November 19. Tickets go on sale October 2.

The band then head into Argentina and a return date almost seventeen years later to Buenos Aires’ Velez Sarsfield stadium where the band’s legendary concert in March 1981 included an onstage appearance by footballer Diego Maradona. The concert takes place November 21. Box office is now open.

Two concerts follow in Brazil’s largest city, Sao Paulo, at the famed Via Funchal outdoor arena on November 26 and 27. Tickets for these concerts will go on sale October 4. The setting for some of Queen’s biggest ever concerts, it is likely further dates will be added in Brazil.

Now into its second week, Queen’s Cosmos Rocks tour continues through central Europe until mid October when it touches down in the UK for 11 concerts. The band then play a handful of further Europe dates before hopping continents and hemispheres to play Latin America.
