| APOCALYPTICA's Eicca Toppinen Says Christmas Is Worst Time For Suicide In Finland The Pulse Of Radio reports: Christmas may be a time of celebration and joy for many people, but according to the members of APOCALYPTICA, that's not the case in their native Finland. The holiday comes during a period in which the northern country doesn't get any sunlight for up to four months, and band member Eicca Toppinen told The Pulse of Radio that leads to more problems. "Finland is number one in suicide numbers in the world," he said. "Christmas is the worst time for that, and it seems to be very hard because the dark period lasts for three to four months every winter. And all these lonely people, you know, they're already depressed, and when it comes to the time of Christmas, they can't stand it." As previously reported, the famed Finnish cellists will be performing their only 2009 show in the UK at next year's Bloodstock Open Air 2009, which will be held from August 14th-16th August 2009 at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, England. Acts on the bill now include: AMON AMARTH, APOCALYPTICA, CANDLEMASS, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, THE HAUNTED, KATATONIA, SATYRICON, SAXON, SABATON, TURISAS and WINTERSUN.
