Late last week, former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony issued the following update:

"I'd like to wish everyone Happy New Year!! Sorry I'm a little late, but I've been back to working on the new project (Chickenfoot) with the guys, and if I may say so, it's definitely rockin'!! I'll give more updates as things progress. We're getting close to mixing this thing, so stay tuned. I can't wait to get back out there and bash it up with you guys!!! See all of you soon."
