HELIX In Florida


HELIX vocalist Brian Vollmer has issued the following update:

"Well, we've just returned from 10 fun filled daze with The Trailer Park Boys and here we are right out the door again -only this time we're trading the snow for some sand n' surf. We'll be in Florida this Friday and Saturday at Bourbon St. in New Port Ritchey, just outside of Tampa. It's a great showcase club, so hope to see you out if you are in the area. I know there's fans as far away as New York State coming to see us as we haven't been in Florida since the early '90s. Lynda and I are staying over for a week for some much needed R&R and then returning home to a slew of Southern Ontario dates. I've already talked to Mike Smith about the possibility of the Trailer Park Boys/Swollen Members/Helix tour going east - if that happens it will probably be in April. Stay tuned... One last thing - Gord Prior (co-writer and co-manager of the band) was in the studio earlier this week completing work on three new tracks: 'Livin' Life Large', 'Nickels & Dimes' and 'Eat My Dust'."

We return home after this short tour and play the next weekend with Rik Emmett of TRIUMPH at Lucknow Arena. Lynda and I leave for England on June 27th and return home on July 9th. Ken Sherwood (our Ontario agent) has told me we are booked July 13th in Ottawa, venue to be announced. It also looks like we are close to being booked in Vancouver and in Sudbury in July and August with many more dates coming in all the time. I find it especially exciting that we are now receiving numerous American offers."
