KING DIAMOND Lends Voice To Death Clock Metalocalypse; New Episode Preview Online


KING DIAMOND has lent his voice to Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha's cartoon series Death Clock Metalocalypse.

METALLICA's James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett have previously lent their voices to the cartoon series, as have members of NEVERMORE and ARCH ENEMY.

Meanwhile, a preview of the next episode, entitled Deathtroll, can be seen at this location. A description of the episode reads: "The band plays a song that unintentionally wakes a deadly Nordic Forest Troll. Dethklok doesn't care until they learn that the Troll is knocking out all DSL lines, making their Internet really slow. Dethklok must write the world's first Death Metal Lullaby to put the demonic beast back to sleep."

As previously reported, Brendon Small, known for the series Home Movies, co-created Death Clock Metalocalypse with Tommy Blacha, about a Norwegian heavy metal band called DEATHKLOK. Although they rock to the top of the charts with gusto, they are also incredibly stupid and leave a path of destruction and mayhem behind wherever they tour.

KING DIAMOND - "Melissa" Still Missing


A report surfaced yesterday (August 29th) from ANUS (American Nihilist Underground Society, www.anus.com ), an organization known for its extensive and elitist Dark Legions metal archives, stating that a member of the organization had returned a long lost artifact of heavy metal history, the "Melissa" skull, to KING DIAMOND.

The skull was stolen at a MERCYFUL FATE show in Holland in the mid-1980s, and was said to be that of a witch who suffered at the hands of Judeo-Christianity before finding its way to King Diamond. Prior to the theft, the skull often accompanied King Diamond on shows and inspired multiple Mercyful Fate and King Diamond songs; one of which was chosen as the title for Mercyful Fate's debut album.

In an update on this story, a representative from King's label, Metal Blade, has confirmed to BW&BK that King himself, in a phone conversation, stated that the story that the skull was stolen is true but he has not seen or heard anything about the artifact being returned to him.
