The Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance has issued the following:
If you live to play Metal, then this is the course for you! The Metal Hammer Weekend is sponsored by world famous Metal Hammer magazine, and it’s the best way to get those metal chops up to warp speed.
Not only will you get the best tuition from the Institute’s own metal gurus, including Martin Goulding and Charlie Griffiths, you will get the chance to learn from some of the giants of metal with very special surprise guests! It’s all about playing so there will also be ample time to jam, play and shred!

Tom and Dan from ARCHITECTS who will be dropping by to chat and share their advice and experiences, as well as treating everyone present to an exclusive preview playing of their new album, which isn’t due out until January 2009!

The two-day weekend takes place on August 16th and 17th and is a complete workout for building up the skills you need to tackle the most demanding elements of this style. Whether you are a guitarist, bass player, drummer or vocalist - if you want to unlock the secrets of bands like
