FIREWIND - European tour trailer online; first ever DVD / Live album released next month!

A third Italian date has just been confirmed and that finalizes the 2008 touring cycle of the band. The show info:

Furthermore, FIREWIND will release their first DVD "Live Premonition" in November offering a stunning 22-song set filmed earlier this year as well as many extras. The live set will also be available as specially priced 2CD, stay tuned for more info on that!





On the DVD Gus G. states:

"Lots of fans have been asking us since 2006 when we will release a DVD. Well, finally the timing was right and it's now ready for release within the next month. It's something we have been looking forward to for a long time. We have worked very hard on this project and I believe all our fans will be pleased.

We believe it's as close as it can get to the ultimate FIREWIND package: A full on 100 minute show where we perform 80% of the latest album live (!) alongside a "best of" setlist from all our past albums. The show is filmed professionally in HD with a 9 camera crew and killer sound!

I'm happy we recorded that specific show as it was a really magical night. And I'm glad it happened in our hometown, Thessaloniki. We're very proud and honored that our fans will get a chance to see what it's like when FIREWIND plays in Greece!

And if that's not enough, we've included all promotional videos from "Allegiance" and "The Premonition", special unplugged TV broadcast performances, an entertaining road movie and even an additional show filmed in Montreal, Canada!!

FIREWIND's first ever live release "Live Premonition" has just been released all across Europe this week and is available as DVD, 2CD and Deluxe DVD+2CD set offering a stunning 22-song set filmed and recorded earlier this year in the band's hometown Thessaloniki. As a brand-new teaser track for this release, the live version of "Angels Forgive Me" (from the band's much lauded "The Premonition" album) has just been posted at http://www.myspace.com/firewind! Enjoy!

The 2CD version of "Live Premonition" consists of the audio part of the main show on two separate CD's, available for the price of 1. The DVD further features many extras such as behind-the-scenes reports, special acoustic live performances, promo clips and much more.

FIREWIND are currently headlining the Live Premonition Over Europe tour and mainman Gus G. reports from the road:

"Hello Fire Maniacs!
We just completed the first 7 shows and we are on our first and much needed off day! This is our first headline tour in Europe and we feel very excited about it since we've been around Europe at least 4 times as a support act. We have matched our expectations so far by playing before very nice crowds in Germany, Holland, Belgium and France.

There have been some small technical problems the first few days such as broken bass cabs, forgotten toms in Holland and also having to drop off some cabs because our trailer was overweight. BUT, in the end we managed it and like Zoe (our light engineer) says "there's no problems, only solutions"!

Some of the highlights have been Essen and Belgium where we played @ the legendary and almost sold out Biebob club. A dream that came true was the show in Paris. Headlining @ Elysee Montmartre was definitely a very fulfilling moment and in order to thank our Parisian fans for coming out, we played Gary Moore's "Parisienne Walkways" exclusively for them! We're heading South now, with 2 more shows in France and then Spain and Italy's next. So, if you live in any of these countries, check out the dates and come out to the shows. We'll rock you to the ground and that's a promise!
